Hi everyone hope all is well!
I am writing to announce that we are having a summer themed swap! We have so far had quite a few successful swaps. We started off with the Fall Swap which lead to a Culture Swap. After that came the Christmas/Holiday Exchange Swap. Then came 2007! We have had 2 amazing swaps in the form of Winter and Spring themed swaps. And we just completed our first Supplies Swap (Thanks for organizing it Remy!!!!!) And soon it will be our 1 year anniversary here at the OG. Hard to believe huh!!!! So lets make this Summer Swap just as great or even better than the last ones!!! Most of us are now becoming fast collectors just as much as creators! And I know to most of us that is a good thing!
With the summer swap you can create fairies, mermaids, dragons etc as long as it is ooak. But it must have a summer theme. So flowers, trees, leaves, water, grass etc. Let your imagination run wild!!!! I know mine is racing right now. And I am at work which is not helping LOL . Please be aware though that you may have to send overseas.
As always if you have any questions on anything what so ever please feel free to ask one of the mod co-ordination team members. And if you don’t know who they are I will list them at the bottom of this news article.
Now that the OG is approaching it’s 1 year anniversary we will soon be getting into the 2nd annual swaps. Which I am sure will be just as great as the inaugural ones. So come on everyone lets see you sign up!!!!!!
Annaliese
Your swap mods are daydreamerdebbie (Debbie), 4pixies (Remy), and myself munchkin (Annaliese)

Yup - I finally got off my duff and started adding in all the tutorials into the existing Article Library so that people can now view them directly on the OG without having to download them!
So feel free to check them out! Tutorials on the OG
And if you'd like to have us host your tutorial - we'd LOVE to do that and will provide credits and credit links back to you as the author as well!

Posted by Faerydae on Saturday, March 10, 2007 (00:39:08) (1185 reads)

For Immediate Release
AMACO Bottles of Hope Challenge to be Repeated!
Due to the overwhelming response to our last Designer Challenge,
AMACO (American Art Clay Company) and event coordinator Lisa Pavelka
are pleased to announce a repeat of the January 2007 Bottle of Hope
Designer Challenge.
80 clay covered bottles were submitted in less than a month's time
for the previous designer challenge; the first open to the public.
Twenty-five finalists were selected by the Indianapolis Polymer Clay
Guild out of 80. The finalist's entries were displayed at the AMACO booth
throughout the January/February CHA (Craft and Hobby Association)
convention in CHA-2007 Anaheim earlier this year. A gala award reception was held
at the show. Final judging was conducted by magazine editors, media
representatives and designers in the crafts industry.

Well the announcement has been made in the Swap Board about the Christmas Exchange. If you wish to sign up post on that board! Sign up are going on till Nov 10.
Here is the announcement
Ok. So Christmas is fast approaching. I know I know grumble grumble and don't remind me I haven't done my shopping yet. Well this is the good part of Christmas. Having a Christmas Present Exchange!
Just so you are aware this Christmas Exchange is for everyone! Vendors, Suppliers and Sculptors. Everyone that wishes can participate. But if you do happen to sculpt a doll please note that you may not receive one in return as your gift.
Debbie, Remy and I (Annaliese) have put a price limit of $25 USD on the exchange.
As I said before anyone can participate but please let your exchange partner know what you may like. A list of 4 hints as to what to get as a present. For example:
Hint list
- Christmas ornament
- Chocolates (without nuts)
- Candles (Hyacinth scent is always good or gardenia)
- Gift cretificates (depending where you are)
~Note: You are NOT limited to the list above, those are just an example!~
Sign ups for the Christmas Exchange are from now untill Nov 10. Because of Christmas mailings, the date to mail out by will be Dec 6th. That way it will have time to arrive.
So lets have a little bit of fun with this one!!!
Debbie, Remy and Annaliese
So if you would like to participate... SIGN UP and lets make this one great!!!
Have a great sculpting day everyone!
Annaliese
Additional note: And if you do not celebrate Christmas, but a different holiday, just substitute the word Holiday for Christmas and feel free to join in!!
